Long-sleeve gender bending

The gist of this rant, RantWoman is really, really happy with new men's tall sized longsleeve cotton t-shirts she got on an internet sale from http://www.landsend.com/ . Okay, the sleeves are a tad long, but compared to the endless stream of supposedly long sleeves which on RantWoman end somewhere near RantWoman's elbows, having sleeves that are too long is such a good problem to have.

The longer version:

Humorist Erma Bombeck used to say "my weight is always perfect for my height which varies. RantWoman is pretty tall. Unfortunately, if her weight were perfect for her height, she would be a lot taller and probably have even more problems getting clothes to fit. The world of mass-market women's clothing seems to be challenged about envisioning women who are both tall and larger than preferable. Enter the men's department.

RantWoman lives in Seattle, land of multi-faceted gender identity and gender presentation. Except for very occasional temptations to try for a nice baritone voice, RantWoman is generally grateful to be content to the gender she was born to. This does not mean RantWoman is content with the clothing offerings available for her gender.

Take sleeves, AGAIN. Recently RantWoman was browsing some of the online sales ads she permits the spambots of the universe to serve her up. It was sale time and coincidentally RantWoman was in the market for nice long-sleeve cotton T-shirts. RantWoman was in the market. As noted above, RantWoman has challenging size concerns. Also, RantWoman is most assuredly a penurious, under-resourced, limited leverage, CHEAP customer.

After a few rounds of growing increasingly irritated about the size and length combinations or lack of info about key parameters available in the women's section, RantWoman had an inspiration: look at the men's lines. RantWoman had been toying with the polo shirt concept but abandoned that because of the reverse button issue. RantWoman had a few moments of poking around and remembered that in addition to sleeve issues, she really likes her shirts longer than most off-the-rack women's wear. Such simple things make RantWoman so deliriously happy.
