Involvement in the Transportation Planning Process―Webinar
On October 12 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time, NCST will partner with Easter Seals
Project ACTION to present a webinar on Public Involvement in the
Transportation Planning Process. This event is designed for transportation
advocates who want to come to the table better informed and prepared to
offer input that will be heard, understood and incorporated into their
regional transportation plans. Information on how to open the planning
process to include older adults, people with disabilities, aging and human
service agencies, and other advocates for accessible transportation will be
incorporated into the presentation. For more information or to ask the

Solutions to Reduced Funding for Public and Human Services
Transportation―Webinar
On September 20 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time, the National Consortium on Human
Service Transportation Coordination will present a colloquium via webinar
for national organizations, states and communities that are experiencing
funding reductions. Speakers will include representatives of communities
that have taken different approaches to solving or alleviating the problem
of cutbacks as well as a panel representing national organizations. The
National Consortium is an alliance of national non-profit organizations and
associations dedicated to promoting mobility and the delivery of public and
coordinated human services transportation to all individuals with
disabilities, persons with low incomes, seniors and youth.
