The CARW (Coalition of Anti-Racist Whits) Casa Latina ally group has been working to support Casa Latina's efforts as part of the Care Campaign in Seattle. The Care Campaign is a nation-wide movement led by grassroots organizations. One of the campaign's goals is a pathway to citizenship for undocumented domestic care workers as well as training and workers' rights for people providing care to adults in their homes.
Part of the local Seattle campaign includes is a town hall style meeting called a Care Congress. It is being held on Saturday February 11 from 11am to 2pm (check-in at 10:30) at the Greenwood Senior Center. It will include storytelling, breakout sessions and information about the campaign, as well as information about taking action to support the local and national campaign.
