What is Accessibility Camp Seattle?
Accessibility Camp Seattle is a dedicated to the simple premise that "digital inclusion" is fundamental to our digital age. Accessibility Camp is for anyone interested in having the world be more accessible and usable for everyone.
How much is Accessibility Camp Seattle?
It’s free! We want everyone to come who has any interest in Accessibility to be able to come regardless of their income.
What is an UNconference?
An UNconference is a community facilitated, participant-driven event. It is different from a standard conference in that a conference has a set agenda with speakers at the front of the room and attendees listening from the audience; the information flows from the speaker to the attendees. For our event, the agenda is set by you and all attendees are encouraged to speak and listen. In other words, we want the information to flow multiple ways! We want to hear what you have to say.
Who should come to Accessibility Camp Seattle?
Everyone! We aim to bring a wide audience together including: product managers, designers, project managers, developers, people WITH disabilities, disability advocates, advocates for people with disabilities, library and information professionals, emergency response, transportation strategists, job developers, assistive technology professionals, vocational rehabilitation personnel, councilors, the policy inclined, government leaders, teachers, engineers, professors, and students.
I want to help keep Accessibility Camp Seattle free!
Accessibility Camp Seattle is free because of our wonderful sponsors! Groups like the Seattle Public Library and Speak To Me Catalog are sponsoring sections of the event. If you want to help, we are always in need of more sponsors! Sponsor a coffee break, sponsor an interpreter or sponsor lunches, all are areas that Accessibility Camp Seattle could use your support in funding.
