Painful statistics for abuse affecting people with disabilities

This item is as good as anything that has crossed RantWOman's limited view about people with disabilities and violence.

This is from the Masschusetts Disabled Person Protection Commission.

http://www.mass.gov/dppc/abuse-recognize/prevalence-of-violence.html

The Cliff Notes version:

--People with disabilities are dramatically more likely to suffer assaults, sexual assaults, and abuse than the general population.

--People with disabilities are FAR more likely to  suffer violence than to commit it.

The blog item from which RantWoman got these links.
