Aside from celebrating Cyrus Habib's accomplishment in getting elected to the WA State legislature, RantWoman has decided to close out National Braille Literacy Month by checking out media resources about Braille and Mr.. Habib's career. This is a blindness-themed blog; RantWoman urges readers interested mainly in Rep. Habib's views on other issues please just to cope and hang in there past a few important items of blindness minutia.

Cyrus Habib campaign website
RantWoman enjoyed the Meet Cyrus page very much.
Funky accessibility note: RantWoman discovered a few links on the home page that are all numbers and no identifying text. This, oddly, makes RantWoman feel less guilty about occasional moments of presentation sloppiness on her blog. However, RantWoman resolves to make an effort to make this entry at least a tad visually cleaner than some.

A great interview from a couple years ago. So Braille Scrabble was not his thing? So What?

Yeah! A geek question about the Braille Lite

Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans interview
"Were it not for the WA Talking Book and Braille Library I would never have learned to read"
RantWoman is VERY impressed by Rep. Habib's positions on many issues.

Bio from Perkins Coie website
RantWoman is amused to read that Rep. Habib's testimony before congress about the accessibility of US currency is characterized as "testimony about domestic monetary policy."

Cyrus Habib wikipedia entry
This entry invites more contributions; RantWoman can only assume there is likely to be much more to say.

There is more. Use a search engine your own darn selves!
Congratulations Rep. Habib
