Dear Potential Coalition / Alliance / Collaboration Partner

RantWoman is busy with civic engagement, digital and otherwise. Here are the fruits of one strand of today's labors.

Dear Potential Coalition Partner
RantWoman learned today that the legislative issue y'all were trying to form a coalition / alliance / collaboration about is already Dead, Dead, DEAD for this year's legislative session. Sorry. Please take note for next time around:

Here are some things RantWoman likes knowing when being asked to sign onto something:

--Who else is involved; who funds potential partners; who funds work of supporting the coalition

--What positions does the coalition take and who are visible advocates

--what are they asking of partners / what are they doing with partners' blessing?

In the case of the potential partner du jour, RantWoman would love to hear more from people working closely (networked with RantWoman's organization) about the current legislation.

Potential Partner has a Facebook page which RantWoman did not check and a website which RantWoman did check.

The website does very little to answer RantWoman's questions above.
The website also, please excuse RantWoman, (sanitized for viewability? is completely deficient!) on accessibility grounds. This immediately puts RantWoman off! RantWoman is likely to be networking with other blind people and if she cannot make sense of things they will not be able to either. There are a number of tools that produce accessible websites with hardly any effort. in other cases, if one reads documentation and pays attention to a couple small things there can be big improvements. ENOUGH SAID????
