Small Disaster via PDF

Ring. Ring....

It's time for the nightly RantWoman and RantMom phone chat, joyously in the same area code.

Tonight RantMom has on her mind:

1. Emanations from ACCESS. Not gonna go there.

2. Exhortation from one of RantMom's RantSisters to get an Interagency Senior Pass good at various Forest Service / National Park Service / ... locations.

RantMom "What's that?"

RantWoman "Well, I have the Google right hear at my fingertips so let's see. (Um, Mom, you have the Google right at your fingertips at your house too but I won't tell anyone...)

RantWoman, after some typing and a some slight grinding on the computer, "Oh heere. It's $10 for a lifetime pass and gives you all kinds of discounts. Let's see, how do you get one?....Oh, UGH. There's an ugly 26-page pdf file that starts with locations in Alabama and we want locations in WA. ..."

(Hint: if RantWoman thinks 26 pages of PDF sounds UGLY, RantMom probably would think it's a disaster. A lookup table would be Soooooo nice....)

RantWoman and RantMom chatter back and forth a bit more about info options, first of all IN THE MORNING! Finally RantMom figures out that calling a certain large outdoor gear cooperative might be a good option. You go MOM. Find the technology that works!
