How one teacher tends her students' social learning environment.

Amazing classroom social network analysis aimed at preventing bullying.

600+ comments RantWoman does not have time to read but that get at many threads on RantWoman's mind.

RantWoman is kind of a sorehead. RantWoman tends to think that endless standardized testing is designed by profit-driven corporations to wring money out of the educational system. RantWoman has yet to see data about how the current standardized testing fashions correlate with employability or life success. RantWoman also hears and would likely offer pretty acid comments about how standardized testing drives the content of the classroom.

RantWoman mentions all this because the standardized testing fashions do not seem to have changed the position of US students relative to students from other educational systems, many of which have really different social environments in their schools. But why is RantWoman going on about this here while basically making a Blogger Mutual Admiration Society post? RantWoman is a dat a geek. RantWoman thinks the approach advocated here has a LOT of potential to improve outcomes and RantWoman wishes someone would study that question.
