Interpreters United, Local 1671 will be offering an informative and educational professional development workshop for medical interpreters in Spokane, WA this Saturday, May 10th! We hope interpreters in Eastern Washington and Idaho will take advantage of this rare opportunity to attend interpreter continuing education courses close to home!
Following the workshop, Local 1671 members are invited to join us for a potluck at 12:00pm, and our quarterly meeting from 1:00pm-3:00pm. If you are not yet a member, membership is available at the door! See details below.

Medical Interpreters

Interpreters...do you know how to protect patient safety?? Are you familiar with the clinical precautions that all health care professionals must take to ensure patient health and reduce infection risk while in clinic and hospital settings? As an integral part of the treatment team, interpreters must be informed about clinical safety protocol. This workshop will help ensure better interpreter awareness and patient outcomes - and help the provider see you as an essential part of the health care team!
