Katherine Bouton "Losing Hearing, Finding
Life"
After three years of diligence, persistence, and
passion on the part of many, Let's Loop Seattle has scored several wonderful
victories for the
Get in the Loop campaign. I'm thrilled to share with you our
most recent accomplishment:
Town Hall Seattle's Great Hall and Downstairs are receiving
hearing loops this month!
Please join us at Town Hall
on Monday, September 15 at 7:30 pm to celebrate the launch of
the new hearing loops. We need you! Your presence at the launch
matters.
Town Hall Seattle hosts dozens of community,
arts, and civic events each year. Most of these events are very affordable—often
costing just $5.00. Now these events will be even more inclusive as people with
hearing loss will be able to use their personal hearing devices as receivers,
allowing them to listen easily and enjoy better understanding. Loop receivers
will also be available for others to try the loop.
The successful reception of Town Hall's loop
installation and commitment to hearing access will inspire other local venues to
consider loops and barrier free access. If the hearing loss community shows up
in force on September 15, the message will be clear: we appreciate and value
Town Hall's investment in us, and echo their believe that community
engagement is for everyone, regardless of their ability to hear.
Tickets: $5.

Thank you so very much for your support and help
in bringing hearing access to our community. I sincerely hope that you'll be
able to join us as we celebrate this victory.
Kind regards,
Cheri
