RantWoman forgets whether maybe she has already tossed out her favorite proposal for police training: no weapons. No car keys. Police recruits should be required to get around the Puget Sound for 3 months at the beginning of their training entirely by bus. Maybe they get to practice defensive driving at work. Maybe they have some exemptions for work emergencies. But the point is that they get practice with all the hazards, conveniences, rolling social anthropology of public transportation.
