DC Government Websites Blocked Blind Users Until ACB and Channel 9 Investigated
Last night a story ran on Washington's CBS affiliate, Channel 9, concerning
the inaccessibility of DC government websites. Over the past several months
ACB has collaborated with the news station to bring to light the lack of
accessible security measures by most all DC government operated websites.
We are proud to announce that the issues appear to have been fixed. As you
might recall this began after we worked with Channel 9 on an undercover taxi
discrimination story that showed numerous taxis refusing to stop for
individuals with guide dogs. Here is the link to the story. It is a good
day in our nation's capital! Here is the link.
