From Seattle King County Public Health
Community
Communication Network members,
Storms
are forecast for this week with winds growing stronger. A significant windstorm
is predicted for Thursday. High winds may lead to power outages. Please share
information about preventing carbon monoxide in case the power goes
out.
Here
are some important messages and resources to share with your clients and
community members:
Translated
information in multiple languages from ECHO - Many
refugee and immigrant communities may be less familiar with staying safe in cold
weather (i.e. snow safety, fall prevention and preparedness information).
Please refer to the information on the ECHO website, which includes audio, video
and written translations in multiple languages that can be referenced and shared
with staff and clients.

If
power outages occur, find places where you can go to get warm. Friends and
family may have power and warm homes you can visit. Updated shelter locations
will be posted at http://resourcetalk.
