Small Tantrums

RantWoman has PLENTY else to do.

But...

The world is entitled to a Temper Tantrum

and...

RantWoman will be much better able to FOCUS if she gets the temp tantrum(s) out of her system.

Dear Twitter!!!

RantWoman downloaded the Android update this morning. Two things are making RantWoman crabby:

--Buttons along the bottom of the screen just above the Home and back arrow buttons. Really! Frownie Face. RantWoman supposes she can COPE. RantWoman does not advise pushing your luck.

--the update wiped out RantWoman's recent searches. It's not like RantWoman cannot type #SecondCivilWarLetters . It's just that RantWoman is lazy and needs her humor fix with minimal finger swipes!

Enough Said?

Deear Windows 10, the whole operating system.

The Friendly Neighborhood Center for Extreme computing is, um, a SLOW adopter about Windows 10. We have two, count them two out of about14 machines running Windows 10. One of the machines had a broken antenna for awhile and could not connect to the Wifi, so no practice for RantWoman. Now though that machine is working including both internet AND RantWoman's preferred accessibility tools, Zoomtext 11 and JAWS 2018.

--Rantwoman has not tried quite everything she could try, but everything about fonts is thinner and lighter than RantWoman is used to in Windows 7. Whine!

--Both Zoomtext and the operating system have rearranged some keyboard functions. Has RantWoman consulted Help? Really? Why would anyone do that?

And in other non-technological disability-related grumpiness,

Recently the Friendly Neighborhood Center for Extreme Computing had a field trip to the Museum of History and Industry. Further museum experiences elsewhere.

Along came a wonderful mellow Yellow lab Guide dog named Sunny. Sunny was all about grace and dignity. She is also about to retire.

Along came Yogi the working Chihuahua. Yogi needed to whine all through lunch.

And as we were leaving along came a parade of bomb-sniffing dogs and their handlers checking things out for the closing ceremony of the Special Olympics. One of the dogs gets a big frownie face for barking and lunging at Sunny the Guide Dog. Enough said!
