Postcards from Digital inclusion for...

First add some quirky music

in honor of all parents everywhere who faithfully endure their children's musical practice session: The Pink Panther Theme for double bass quintet.

Daily Texts!

Hooray for RantMom! RantMom has persisted in practicing. Little Sister, who is RantMom's main computer tutor  has persisted in gentle oversight of the practicing.

All this persistence has paid off.

RantWoman and RantMom now reliably on a daily basis exchange text messages, and even text messages that contain emojis.

The texting is pretty awesome. The emojis no less. RantWoman has actually not asked Rantmom about her use of emojis. RantWoman has also not explained to RantMom about alt text for emojis; RantWoman is glad she asked, though, about one emoji that turned out to be a pig but just looked to RantWoman like some kind of pink bat.

RantWoman is not quite sure how several libraries of emojis with Alt text in Favorites in the messenger app on her Android, but RantWoman is having a really good time sending emojis she intends!

Order NOT online!

RantMom can do texts and emojis. She is a LOT less charmed about shopping online. RantMom prefers to call in oders for mail order items. RantMom SO prefers this that she recently called several times and made a family favorite mail order retailer TAKE HER ORDER for items that were out of stock. RantMom was perfectly fine with placing the order NOW and waiting. This greatly confused the person on the phone taking mail orders. Oh Well.

And the latest in Tactile Graphics featuring an aster, favorite fall flower.
