Building Bridges of Accessibility Walk 2011
Vision Loss Connections Celebrates National White Cane Day -
Saturday October 15th
Seward Park Loop,
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Walk to build Bridges of Accessibility to Hiking, Sports and Fitness. Support Seattle Goalball (Soccer of the Blind), Weekend Hiking Trips and Health and Wellness Activities.Vision Loss Connections uses the Power of Community to organize programs that opens up the Best of the Northwest to People who are Blind and Low Vision.
We are Celebrating with Food - Catering by Jackie Cabrerra's C What's Cookin' and Live Music with the Rock, Rhythm and Blues Band - Sound People Association featuring Vocals by Meka White, Quincy Daniels and Barbara Choi - Telea Noriega on Drums, Andrew Stauffer and Nate Greenwood on Guitar.
There are a number of ways that you or your organization can participate!
1) We are having a small number of information tables representing services and businesses of interest to people in the Blind and Low Vision Community.
2) Be a Walker & enjoy the 4 mile Waterfront loop at Seward Park ($20.00 suggested donation)
3) Team Build with a Walk Team representing your organization
4)You can also come and just enjoy the food and music! ($20.00 suggested donation)
5)You can also pledge to support a walker and support Health and Wellness Activities
