Pressure Cooked

Even before RantWoman's recent Black Bean Charcoal misadventure, http://rantwoman.blogspot.com/2013/01/confession-black-bean-charcoal.html  RantWoman has been meaning to check out new modern pressure cookers. RantWoman cooks a lot of dried beans and is excited by anything that cooks beans quickly.

RantWoman has sometimes adventuresome memories of pressure cooking from childhood. By adventuresome, RantWoman means no one ever got burned, but there were a couple moments involving sudden releases of steam and explosive distribution of what otherwise would have been dinner all over walls, ceilings, and all kitchen surfaces in the paths of projectiles.. RantWoman has heard that modern pressure cookers have various design features designed to minimize explosive food distribution and is eager to see.

RantWoman even gave a friend permission to nag and send search links to get RantWoman moving.

--The first stream came with lots of aluminum pots. Scratch that. RantWoman prefers stainless steel.

--RantWoman wants to understand the safety features. Scratch that. RantWoman does not even have an idea what to search for so enter Youtube.

--Enter Youtube. Enough about safety features at least to know what to ask next but now RantWoman also wants reasonable sense of water, beans, needed volume of pot. Getting closer.

--More searching for pressure cookers. Stainless steel. Several sizes. Next stop: the search engine AGAIN to see who puts there product insert sheet online so RantWoman can cruise and browse it all on her own. See, Rantwoman just wants EVERYTHING. Stay Tuned....
