Please join us on Tuesday, September 24th from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the American Red Cross for this workshop on the Incident Command System, and Financial Preparedness.

*For Dissemination* Information about protecting your health for people preparing to undertake pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj or Umrah, including warnings about MERS. MERS is viral respiratory illness first reported in Saudi Arabia in 2012. It is caused by a coronavirus called MERS-CoV. Most people who have been confirmed to have MERS-CoV infection developed severe acute respiratory illness. They had fever, cough, and shortness of breath. About half of these people died. Please help distribute flyers to people traveling to the Arabian Peninsula. Flyers are available in English, Farsi, Arabic, Amharic, Oromo and Somali and can be found.

The City of Seattle will be holding a Financial Planning Day, which will be held on October 12 at the Garfield Community Center. This is a great opportunity for people to receive free professional financial planning as well as help with credit, debt, foreclosure and mortgage problems, enrollment into health coverage through expanded Medicaid/Health Benefit Exchange, etc. Please see the attached flyer, which is being translated into Chinese, Spanish, Tigrinya, Vietnamese, and Amharic.
