ADA Compliance Audit: Call in or email Soon

RantWoman received the following item with a date stame of July 31. RantWoman HOPES they will extend the deadline.

Meeting the Challenge will be conducting an A D A compliance review of King County Metro Transit in the next 90 days. The purpose of this review is to assess the level to which KCMT complies with Department of Transportation regulatory requirements to provide stop announcements and route identification sufficient for people who are blind, have low vision, or other disabilities, to navigate KCMT’s fixed route bus system. As part of this assessment, in order to identify particular areas of concern, we conduct a number of interviews with people who are blind or have low vision and use the KCMT fixed route buses.

If you would be willing to forward this email to individuals who use KCMT fixed route buses, I would be very grateful. Of course, we hope that the outcome of our review for the Federal Transit Administration will serve not only to identify problems but help to solve them.

Please have interested people contact me as soon as possible. We are hoping to complete these interviews by Monday August 4th. The interview takes from 15 minutes to half an hour. Interested individuals can call me at 800.864.4264, extension 106, or respond to this email with a phone number and the best time for me to call.
Thank you,
Geoff
