COVID-19 Vaccination Event for Children

This Sunday, December 12, a community vaccination event for children and their families will be at the Federal Way High School.  A second vaccination event will be held on January 2, 2022. Please share the information in the flyers with your communities.

  • Vaccination is free and no insurance is required.
  • $50 Safeway gift cards will be given to families whose children are getting their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • For more information, visit COVIDVaccineWA.org or DOH.WA.GOV/Coronavirus, or call 1-833-VAX-HELP (1-833-829-4357). For language interpretation, say your preferred language when connected.
  • To request assistance for people with disabilities, please call 711 (Washington Relay) or email civil.rights@doh.wa.gov.

Booster shots

  • Everyone aged 16 years and older can get a booster shot now. CDC Media Statement 12/9/21
  • Booster shots increase the strength and duration of protection. It’s especially important for older adults (50 years and older) and people with underlying medical conditions or who live or work in high-risk settings) to get the extra protection from a booster shot.
  • You should get a booster shot if it has been 6 months since your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or 2 months since one dose of Johnson & Johnson.
  • Teenagers who are 16-17 years old can only get the Pfizer booster dose.
