Shaken out

RantWoman was doing one of her pace around in the middle of the night routines. What did RantWoman spy? Something about the great Washington Shakeout!

The Great WA Shakeout was over 2 weeks ago. Did RantWoman participate?

Does it count if the radio announcement of the shakeout occurs while one's hand are covered in no-bake quinoa cookie stickiness and there is no way on planet earth that one is going to Drop Cover and Hold?

RantWoman did in fact survey her surroundings. Under the counter she would have had to compete with either the vacuum cleaner or food and water bowls for the Queen of Spades.
Under the table...would be fine except for the sticky fingers and the chairs to move. 

RantWoman did listen to the bulletin. RantWoman did reflect on all the things she stores in cupboards without latches on the doors, or even worse on top the cupboards. Yeah, in an earthquake, Rantwoman is at risk of getting conked on the hed by egg cartons awaiting child craft projects, sundry cooking vessels, a bottle  of oil...

Okay, RantWoman's survival plan is just not to be in her kitchen when the big one hits.

Not that other rooms are more free of overhead hazards, but we can work on that next year.

Meantime, can we just go back to "I'd rather pet the cat" than prepare?
