Hands and alttext meditation

The image here is from the Facebook page of a now deceased denizen of  The Friendly Neighborhood Center For Extreme Computing  . Customer service was not his gift, but he was a great conversationalist about things he was passionate about. He is on RantWoman's mind today and in appreciation of people on Facebook who also still miss him, RantWoman offers the following meditation about writing good alt text for complex images.

When RantWoman first saw this image, she thought it was just some kind of weird sea shell. Only after magnification did RantWoman identify hands of different skin tones curled together into a ball.

It's an image we need today!
