Help Sound Transit Rename University Street Station

RantWoman enthusiastically endorses this request from Sound Transit for public input about renaming the University Street light rail station downtown.

https://www.soundtransit.org/ride-with-us/service-alerts/rename-university-street-station

RantWoman definitely hears passengers aboard Link sounding confused about a station name referring to something about University that is nowhere near the University. RantWoman thinks that confusion is only likely to grow worse as the next stations open in the University District and further north.

So Go Team, let's please rename the station.

Now for the RantWoman moment: RantWoman managed to offer her opinion. This "success" is not because RantWoman could figure out how to make the survey work with JAWS. It is not because RantWoman was able to figure out anything on her Android phone with Talkback. RantWoman was able to complete the survey because she has enough vision to be able to squeak by using screen enlargement, Chrome browser, and her Windows machine!

To say the least RantWoman is disappointed.

HOWEVER, RantWoman is also insistent, persistent, and resilient!

So the technology does not work for screen reader users. So one option: check out one of the remaining opportunities to offer input right at University Street Station

PS RantWoman would be too happy to say what she thinks in person and definitely has strong preferences. BUT RantWoman does not want to be accused of stuffing the ballot box, at least not yet until she gets the needed accessibility #A11y tirade out of her system!
