Boredom Central and the Anxiety Apoplexy Vortex

Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Hello, this is Boredom Central."

RantWoman: "Oh, good, this is the Anxiety Apoplexy Vortex. Maybe you can help."

Much mirth was exchanged. It turns out Guide Dogs do not appreciate video conferences nearly as much as live events. Many fewer smells, RantWoman would imagine. Many fewer opportunities for clandestine ear scritches. Apparently the household cat also likes to vex the guide dog.

The Queen of Spades, RantWoman's feline staff on the other hand appreciates having the human around for warm cat furniture service.

RantWoman is remembering back to resilience after midlife vision loss. Helping Organize Disaster preparedness events for low-income housing residents does not exactly leap to mind, at least for RantWoman as a path to resilience. RantWoman learned things she is good at. She learned things she is bad at. She has gotten maybe a little bit better about teamwork. And RantWoman has definitely gotten good at sticking her hand in the air and saying something along the lines of  "what you are suggesting is not the point for this community. Here is an example.
The Mortgage Statement / Flashback Post

RantWoman has been thinking about these experiences as the country crashes into the #CoronaVirusOutbreak

On RantWoman's mind with more question marks than answers.

--RantWoman has heard that dogs can get Corona Virus. Are there any Guide dog users who have anything to report--yet?

--How does someone living alone in multifamily housing self-quarantine in the face of shared laundry and need to do basics like take out the trash? RantWoman feels like pretty much anyone could transmit the virus at this point without knowing it, but can people suggest strategies to minimize the risk?

--Cash? RantWoman reflexively stuck a small amount of cash in one of her disaster preparedness pouches from the previous experience. But now no one wants to deal with cash. RantWoman is lucky to be able to deal with Venmo but many of her neighbors are big on cash and not big on Venmo or ordering pizza on the web. RantWoman would like to find a reliably sourced article: how long does one have to leave cash in the sun to destroy any potential lingering viruses. What if one puts one's cash in a plastic bag and leaves both cash and plastic in the sun?

Stay tuned.
