Pollen or Plague? With a side of #DigitalInclusion

Postcards from the  RantWoman and co #COVIDVirus #Covid2019 experience so far.

It's allergy season already.

--Check supplies of hand sanitizer and wipes to wipe down all keyboards and things people touch at the Friendly Neighborhood Center for Extreme computing

--Go look somewhere to see whether that is reasonable minimum plus signage or whether there is more to do.

--Make mental list of things to check in with neighbors about.

--Argue with NonProfit on high about why the Friendly Neighborhood Center should stay open in spite of other closures: for people who need access to digital information, Rantwoman thinkgs it will be safer to let neighbors come to the friendly Neighborhood Center than to get on a bus and go to the library. Relevant person agrees, provided there are options to staff and promises to see what can be done.

--Send email about digital inclusion in other communities and questions about people's concerns such as access to print from info sources that come in multiple languages.

--Ask for others concerns from people who live in other buildings.

Last night RantWoman visited RantMom's retirement community. Sign on the door asked visitors

--Do you have a cough or shortness of breath? RantWoman has a cough all the time and it is no worse this week than average. It would be less if RantWoman ate less dairy and walked more. RantWoman did not tell the person screening people about the eat less dairy / walk more part.

--Has RantWoman been to any of the countries on the CDC's level 2 or 3 list recently ?  NO!

--Has  had any contact with people connected with the facility in
Kirkland? First pass answer no. RantWoman assumes by now staff is self-isolating but probably just as well RantWoman did not blurt out "I ride the bus. I have no idea who I might have had contact with."
