RantWoman cannot find the morning edition segment where William Arkin says,basically, fighting pandemics is not really the best use of the military. We need to invest in public health infrastructure more than we need to throw more funds at the military.
RantWoman agrees as a matter of principle--EXCEPT that RantWoman also thinks it is really cynical of the President on one hand to keep calling for more money for the military and on the other hand to end the National Guard deployments related to the pandemic at 89 days, one day short of the 90-day interval when the troops activated for that role would qualify for many additional benefits.
Huh?
WTF?
May everyone feel love flowing as we remember who we need to remember.
