Blame the# pandemic. Blame the #SeattleSmoke wildfire haze. Blame protests everywhere.
Whoever is to blame, RantWoman is for some reason absurdly happy about the wording of the announcement below. See the pedestrian overpass elevator to the SeaTac airport light rail station goes out of service A LOT. Passengers who do not plan ahead have the festive opportunity either to go up or down four flights of stairs or to find a bus to another light rail station and ride from there to the airport station. This is not fun if one is dealing with luggage, a Merchant's bag of travel supplies, or any kind of mobility device.
The announcement is not quite the level of detail or precision RantWoman would hope but RantWoman's point: if one needs to get between the ground at S 176th St. and the Light Rail, and if the pedestrian overpass elevator is not working depending on one's direction of travel one can take the Rapid Ride A line either to Angle Lake or to the Tukwila International Boulevard station and connect to / from the Light Rail. These words still do not cover waht is needed, but in the meantime please file the text below because the SeaTac Pedestrian Overpass Elevator, while landing fewer times recently in RantWoman's inbox still shows up there more often than seems preferablt to RantWoman.
The SeaTac/Airport Station pedestrian overpass elevator is out of service.
The platform elevators are operating.
Passengers who require the elevator, ride Link to Tukwila International Boulevard Station and Ride Metros RapidRide A Line bus service to S 176th St.
Those who require elevator service from the street level at SeaTac/Airport Station, ride Metros RapidRide A Line bus service on International Blvd S north toTukwila International Boulevard Station or south to Angle Lake Station to connect with Link.
Passengers who require the elevator, and who are traveling from Angle Lake Station, use the northbound RapidRide A Line on International Blvd S adjacent to this Station and ride to S 176th St.
Updates will be provided when available.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
