Seattle COVID Memorial Project Invitation
Saturday November 28, 2020 from 13:00 PST-15:00 PST
2–9°C Partly cloudy
Greenlake Boathouse
Public · Hosted by Seattle Covid Memorial Project Seattle COVID memorial Project Facebook page
We will be honoring our neighbors lost to COVID-19 by striking a gong once for each life lost in King County. Folks are welcome to observe or to participate by taking a shift and hitting the gong 10 times for 10 lives lost. All outdoors. Masks required.
Would be lovely to have you come if you can. We don’t have another scheduled yet because I am trying to watch the weather but am planning to do them about once every 10 days on average. Some will be this kind of longer event for all of King County and others will be shorter 30 minute events just for Seattle losses.
Further RantWoman comments
It is important to honor the fallen. It is equally important to STOP the spread of the disease.
STAY HOME if you are sick.
WEAR A MASK when out of your home.
Please appreciate the data dashboards listed below. Please particularly note the geographic distribution of testing compared to the geographic distribution of positive results. Many of our county's essential workers live in South King County and in shared households where it is difficult to quarantine or isolate.
For regularly updated information on several dashboards about COVID-related testing, positive cases, hospitalizations, and deaths as well as a number of other indicators and other resources see kingcounty.gov/covid
The data dashboard pages have a mix of very informative text and graphics; in some cases raw data can be downloaded so, for example, screen reader users can summarize the data in formats that can be read by screen readers
