Two for two and in a blog post because the Amazon fresh app apparently does not want to hear about it.

This is RantWoman in the role of busy professional too busy to shop on her own. Plus, Metro's route tun cancellation notices issued alarming texts today saying a whole lot of runs of the Route 8, RantWoman's preferred there and back routing were cancelled.

RantWoman recently returned from a trip to Omaha NE. While there RantWoman had ONE delivery to her Hotel. When RantWoman returned she reset the delivery address back to her home address. RantWoman changed NOTHING about the direction. When RantWoman looks at the address, the information about the best driving directions to the door where there is a keypad to call to be buzzed into the building.

RantWoman is a Prime member and shops to qualify for free delivery. While RantWoman was away, RantWoman's beloved first thing in the morning delivery windows all suddenly acquired #4.99 delivery fees. This is on top of the automatic suggested driver tip. BOO!

Sunday it worked to schedule a delivery between 12 and 2 pm. The delivery even arrived fairly early in the window. The problem: the driver was a timid and frustrated young woman who could not understand RantWoman's request to key the apartment number into the keypad. Someone let her into the building but then she could not figure out how to get to RantWoman's apartment. RantWoman had a frantic call from zomeone in Amazon Logistics but by this time RantWoman had gone to the lobby. The driver kindly carried RantWoman's purchases upstairs. RantWoman TRIED to write this up in the app. RantWoman offers this blog post because the app kept routing her to the list of items in the order. The list of items was fine. The problem was the delivery hiccups.

Tonight RantWoman realized she is out of some items that will absolutely help her stay sane during a weekend of upcoming Zooms. RantWoman considered whether to try to go shop herself but between timelines and bus uncertainty and finding a delivery window between 10 pm and 12 am, RantWoman grabbed the delivery window and popped off another order!

The order even arrived, sort of, and early in the window to boot. The problem: RantWoman was expecting a call and the need to buzz someone in, or considering current building security measures to need to meet a driver in the lobby.

But no.

In close succession RantWoman received first a text saying the order would be delivered soon and then a text saying the order had been delivered.

Okayyy. But delivered where.

RantWoman checked the breezeway accessible if the driver follows RantWoman's driving directions. No groceries.

RantWoman then checked the basement back door people are not supposed to be able to get into AT ALL after 5 pm--unless of course they enter as someone is leaving.

Behold: the groceries! Please DO NOT evoke Dial-a-Tirade about grocery deliveries and building security concerns and following the dang directions! As for the question in the customer non-service questions run-around about whether RantWoman will recommend Amazon Fresh, ummmm

Luckily RantWoman has access to a shopping cart.

to have to fetch
