Bison and data for banks!

RantWoman is a big fan of Indian Country Today, both for the voices represented and for stories she would never know otherwise.

This Indian Country Today episodes reports on two topics near and dear to RantWoman, buffalo and representation in data.
,
The RantFamily both as children and as adults, has more than one piece of family lore succinctly described as "Let's go look at the bison /buffalo."

RantWoman has no tribal affiliation whatsoever. However, there was an Indian School (That's what it was called) in RantMom's hometown. One time RantWoman looked up something about the school and saw last names on both sides of RantMom's familylisted with various roles at the school.

RantWoman's idea of representation in college was to let some of her classmates think that buffalo ran losse down the streets of RantWoman's home town. It was a joke. RantWoman is very glad for voices that tell the real story.

Listen for the part about data.
