Primary Time! Voted!

 It's Primary Time.

RantMom has moved. RantMom has moved to the far south edge of Seattle, in a zone where Seattle and Renton addresses semingly intermingle. But RantMom and RantWoman are again in the same county, state legislative, and congressional districts. RantWoman needs to double check about city of Seattle because RantMom's ballot did not include the race for the open at-large seat. RantWoman did not get this checking done before the primary. Oh well. It's a primary.

Due to transportation logistics, the RantWoman have abandoned our in-person voting parties, but RantMom listened cheerfully over the phone to RantWoman's opinions about several races.

Among RantWoman's opinions:

1. 25 people running for governor is WAY TOO MANY. RantWoman did not even look up information for most of them. RantWoman is amused that perennial candidates GoodSpaceGuy and Alex Tsimmermann are both listed on the primary ballot so RantWoman does not have to worry about bumping into either one in some other race.

2. If a candidate for a statewide office has previously lost a Congressional seat because she voted to impeach #FelonDon and then got primaried by someone from the #MAGA cult, RantWoman absolutely WILL vote for the person for the new position in the primary. RantWoman will see how the general shakes out and most likely will not opine publicly any further.

3. Two things about the Secretary of State race are important to RantWoman: candidates who can say something intelligent about the WA Talking Book and Braille Library and how ballot access look for people with disabilities. RantWoman has nothing further to say about the latter at this time.

RantWoman will not repost her official #VotingSelfie here but does have other comments.

This page came with the ballot
Cool sticker. Cool info options

Same cool sticker.
Oh look there's a QR code

When QR codes work, when read by a device with a QR code reader that announces the link clearly so that it can be tapped on, QR codes are great. They are also hard for tech novices and many blind and visually impaired people to deal with. But here, lo: The QR code Works. It takes one to a screen where one can look themselves up by providing any three of four data points. Guess what: RantWoman needs to update her phone number now that she has gotten rid of her landline.
