The Washington Talking Book & Braille Library (WTBBL) is facing a serious budget crisis. With unstable state and federal funding, our ability to provide accessible library services is currently at risk. Any efficient and effective agency, like WTBBL, plans far into the future for the resources needed to seamlessly provide up-to-date and plentiful support and reading materials to Washington residents unable to read standard print. However, these recent funding losses were never anticipated and are creating an immediate and severe risk to WTBBL’s survival as the service people have come to know and count on.
