Screening of JoyBubbles documentary with open Audio Description: October 11, 6:30 pm at SIFF

 Rachael J Morris is the director of a documentary called Joybubbles. I'

 

JOYBUBBLES is a documentary about a boy who discovers he can control the global telephone system by whistling a magic tone. Born blind and yearning for connection, his early obsession with the telephone sparks a subculture that shapes the future of hacking and technology.



We were the very first film to screen with open audio description at the Sundance Film Festival this year, then at South by Southwest, and dozens of other film festivals. 

 

The screening is taking place next Monday October 12th at 6:30pm at the SIFF Film Center. Here's a link:

3. RantWoman THINKS but probably should check: with the advent of digital switching, simple precision whistling is not enough unlike the exploits of yore.
