Link light rail will operate normal service this weekend for SeaFair festivities. Unlike in years past, there will be no Metro shuttle connecting Link to Genessee Park for the Albert Lee Cup hydro races. Instead, King County Metro will increase frequency on Route 50 [ https://metrofutureblog.wordpress.com/2017/07/27/ride-metro-to-seafair-festivities/ ]to run every 15 minutes between 10am-2pm on August 5 and 6. Route 50 serves West Seattle, Sodo, Beacon Hill, Genessee Park and Seward Park, and connects to Link at Othello and Columbia City stations.
For riders connecting to Link from the Eastside, please be advised of I-90 closures and reroutes on Routes 550 and 554 during Blue Angels practices and shows. These reroutes are different from in years past, with Route 550 additionally serving Eastgate Park & Ride during I-90 closures.For more information, read our Route 550 and 554 Rider Alert [ https://www.soundtransit.org/node/16182 ]. Prepare for significant delays.
I-90 transit service will be rerouted during the following times and days:
* Thursday, Aug. 3, 9:45 a.m. 12:15 p.m.; 1 p.m. 2:40 p.m.
* Friday, Aug. 4, 12:55 p.m. 2:40 p.m.
