Alt text forever and ever amen

So Um, RantWoman is meditating on whether she has double standards.
Consider this lovely graphic from @SeattleDOT in a tweet about #mobilityJustice and the budget just approved by the Seattle City Council. RantWoman can with magnification on her desktop machine clearly interpret the graphic. This is not the case on RantWoman's phone.

Rantwoman whined and got back this lovely explanation.

You’re right. It’s an illustration with arms of many skin colors reaching toward a series of icons representing different modes of transit, driving, people biking, people of various ages walking and accessibility.


Similarly, RantWoman saw an item on Facebook full of more or less inspiring text she could not read with her tools. But RantWoman found the link and swoons: al the pictures are captioned.

Aw but ....a picture is worth 1000 words and RantWoman wonders which 1000 on her mind should come out of photo sequence below. RantWoman is further tempted to post what is on her mind from the series of photos in the alt text field for each photo. RantWoman idly wonders how sighted people read the alt text on their Smartphones. Here's the deal though: RantWoman wound up composing the post in one of ther other blogs. Cope.
