Meanwhile, even though St Nicholas day has already passed, we need some wooden shoes. Sorry if this image will not make great tactile graphics.
A friend of RantWoman's: RantWoman, how do you as a blind person peel hard-boiled eggs.
Secrets of RantWoman's kitchen:
Boil the eggs well in a suitable pot on the stove. RantWoman does not time but 10 minutes or so is not terrible. Remove the pot from the heat and immediately drain and run cold water into the pot.
The cold water bath should make the eggs easy to peel. RantWoman usually just cracks the shell all over and then looks for the pocket where the air bubble was to get started.
RantWoman does this by feel, but did suggest to her friend that brown eggs might be helpful for visual clarity.
MOST of the time, this works like a charm, but RantWoman sometimes gets really fresh eggs from other friends. The eggs come from several different kinds of chickens and their ease of peeling is more varied.
But rantWoman, you can't see?
Look it's easy to do by feel. Rinse the peeled egg if you are not sure you have gotten all the shell
Speaking of not do by feel though, this image is too dense to work for tactile graphics. Oh Well.
