Author Eden Robinson about her drama TRICKSTER

RantWoman is giving herself permission to address all her multiple be aware Binge blog themese in the world of culture and opinions dashed off after sips from the internet torrents. Today's binge blog item is related to Arts and Humanities and probably other topics but start there.

RantWoman wants to express interest in the Canadian drama Trickster. Here are two videos. The first one is so full of contagious laughter that RantWoman really cannot extract sense from. However, RantWoman really needs to laugh. Laughing about people in Canada referred to as First Nations is probably bittersweet: Much NOT to laugh about and appreciative laughter might still be the best place to start

RantWoman has been hanging out in a Saturday Zoom in her faith community. At the end of worship people are asked to a land acknowledgment to the Native peoples on whose traditional territory they live.

Not everyone was enthusiastic at first. Why? Is this just an empty gesture that does little for present realities? Some people were easily able to say something on point. Others had to do research. Doing the research inspired others to do research. RantWoman has also been wowed just to learn slices of US history that would definitely not have happened in 11th grade when "everyone" takes some kind of course in state history. RantWoman definitely hopes this will have ripples going forward.
