RantWoman will be observing several of her binge blog awareness month categories: #NDEAM because RantWoman can always find some way to relate reflections to employment and to aspects of life that might not look employment-related but to RantWoman are in fact. Also National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and LGBTQ History month, this based only on the assumption that an event among other things celebrating 100 years of women's suffrage also almost certainly includes voices who have lived experience with domestic violence and Queer issues. In any case, also slot this under ArtsAndHumanities month.
RantWoman has enough vision to appreciate some visual art visually and even more often also to appreciate the story, who the artist is, what the work means to the artist, how others react.
RantWoman is a little cross to have an inaccessible image instead of a link directly to the virtual gallery, but RantWoman is not going to whine to the friend who has a painting in the show about #a11y issues this wonderful soul would have no capacity on her own to fix.
RantWoman also missed finding any image descriptions on the website. RantWoman will come back and at least have a bit of a look.
With that said the Wenatchee Valley Museum
WA Women Painters postcard about exhibit. There are too many words to put in alt text so either download the image and OCR it or get a sighted person to read it and tell you about the images |
