RantWoman thanks Youtube for pointing RantWoman to this piece. It seems an appropriate way to hold memories of two neighbors RantWoman still has not gotten duly memorialized.
Mr. Accessible Restrooms
Mr. Accessible Restrooms lived next door to RantWoman for almost the whole time she has lived where she does.
Mr. Accessible Restrooms was a well known / notorious transit advocate; he more than once got RantWoman motivated to help tend to some important concerns.
Every time there was a Metro service shakeup, Mr. Accessible Restrooms made sure there was a rack full of selected new printed schedules.
RantWoman is pretty sure some other Mr. Accessible Restrooms moments have made it into blogland, but perhaps this is enough for now.
Mr. Accessible Restrooms' hearing has improved not a bit since the time of the above post. In 2022, Mr. Accessible Restrooms suffered both COVID and a bad stroke. RantWoman is not aware of the exact end of the story but thinks of it every time she walks by his old apartment with the shiny new door handle installed after his sister grew concerned and the fire department did a welfare check
Muppet Fan Neighbor
Muppet Fan Neighbor is of Balkan heritage. RantWoman feels a little socially negligent not to remember which Balkan culture, perhaps Croatian.
Muppet Fan neighbor was found unresponsive when someone, not even RantWoman, did a welfare check in connection with the 2021 heatwave. RantWoman is unsure of any other family except neighbor's mother who preceded her in death by a couple years.
One of Muppet Fan Neighbor's gifts was the ability and willingness to tell many people the same thing over and over. The PERFECT person to greet people at events.
