Yesterday, nephew texted RantWoman. RantWoman can now Google Subie and you acd click on the Episodes link and voila, Episode 105.
Numerous other paths but there we are.

The not actually shorter updated version: Nephew says he appears in episode 105. RantWoman believe it or not has not particularly cultivated a preferred podcast app and usually relies on links or Youtube. RantWoman is aware that Things Happen on the way to getting something posted. RantWoman is prepared to exclaim in detail when she actually lines up the pieces to find the podcast. RantWoman will try to resist a temptation to riff on chasms on the road to desired connectivity in different contexts.
The short version:
A fabulous opportunity to meet Irrepressible Nephew, in an episode of the Subie and You podcast set to drop this morning
Irrepressible Nephew is into off-roading, off-roading in a Subaru model the fam envisioned as more of a reliable easy to get maintain option for local driving, work tasks, family transportation. As nephew puts it, like Legos with many sensors and parts interchangeable across models.
Greater adventure possibilities opened up.
Nephew found people into off-roading.
Nephew became interested in the word "Lifted," the exact details of which Nephew gets to explain.
Nephew is also interested in customized lights and roof tech,
Next on the shopping list a snorkel to prevent hydro-locking, terms RantWoman is noting purely for lexicographic interest.
RantWoman can always be predicted to ask:
Is there an electric model on the horizon. Yes
and see
2023 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid SUV and other models
(urk. RantWoman has not checked for any blind pedestrian-friendly not-too-quiet features but is definitely interested in the topic.)
What about an autonomous version?
Can anyone in the household explain in Spanish to Brother in Law some details of cars stuck in snow or slid off roads? Um, no, a reality in many bicultural households.
Further full disclosures, not guaranteed to be a marketing manager's dream comments:
RantWoman for good reasons does not drive and does not expect personally to be involved in any purchase decisions anytime soon.
RantWoman tends to block car ads when then come her way on social media in case the algorithms do not figure RantWoman's lack of interest out on their own.
RantWoman definitely approves one large corporation's policy of requiring all managers even blind ones to be able to pass the driver's license road test.
RantWoman does not automatically think more cars on the road, even sensible ones are a good idea. RantWoman can easily be predicted to talk about traffic congestion, anticipated growth in the Seattle area over the next few decades, transportation equity, induced demand as a factor in road construction decisions, as well as safe continuous travel networks for all modes and transit-oriented development.
Nephew gets to find his own path about all this.
Regardless, enjoy the podcast.
